GENERAL INFORMATION
The Brookings Harbor Festival of the Arts which began in 1993, is held the first Saturday and Sunday in August on the Boardwalk at the Port of Brookings Harbor, Brookings, Oregon.
It is a juried Festival of original arts and crafts. No manufactured, assembled,imported, or consumable items are allowed. Application to
the Festival does not guarantee acceptance. Selections are made on the basis of quality of work, maintaining a balance in the types of products and availability of space.
Deadline for applications is May 1st.
The 17th Annual Brookings Harbor Festival of the Arts will be held from 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday August 7th & 8th, 2010 on the Boardwalk at the Port of Brookings Harbor,
Brookings, Oregon. Over 100 artisans will participate this year with original work including paintings in all mediums, photography, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, beadwork, metal sculpture,
stained glass, woodwork, and fabric art. Artist demonstrations will be held in the demonstration tent throughout the day and a free Children's Art Activity Corner will be provided by the Chetco Community Library.

For a Schedule of Events and a map of the Festival Site including vendor location please pick up a program from a Greeter at Festival entrances or the Information Booth.
Food is available through participating vendors and Port restaurants. Admission, entertainment, parking, and shuttle service are free and the event is handicapped accessible. The free shuttle makes a loop throughout the entire Port area from the Festival site to the Coast Guard Station. Park anywhere and ride the shuttle!
Due to health and safety issues, pets are not permitted in the Festival Site.
The Festival of the Arts is an independent nonprofit volunteer organization under the auspices of BACA, Brookings Harbor Area Council for the Arts whose proceeds after operational expenses benefit organizations and individuals involved in developing the arts or beautifying the local area. The Festival is supported by participant fees.
APPLICATION TO THE FESTIVAL
An application for the Festival of the Arts is available on this website and is emailed to our mailing list. If you have a problem downloading the application, please contact us by email at artfestival@nwtec.com. Please read the application letter and application carefully and follow all instructions.
We require a proof of liability insurance form be submitted with your application. Our insurance company informed us liability
may be covered through your homeowner's insurance or is available in a separate policy to cover all your shows during the year.
Fees are based on your product and your business. Please contact
your personal insurance company or any company to compare rules and rates. For those of you who do not have your own insurance,
we have arranged for a group liability policy. This requires
you send a separate check for insurance with your application and we will forward your information and fees to the insurance company.
